Circadian light supports biological timing through retinal exposure. The LOWEN Smart Circadian Spotlight delivers directional illumination with modulated spectral output designed to align with natural human physiological cycles.

Modern indoor lighting is often spectrally static and misaligned with daily biological rhythms. Excessive short-wavelength exposure at night and insufficient daytime stimulus can interfere with melatonin timing, sleep quality, and cognitive resilience.

Light is detected by intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) and transmitted via the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), playing a central role in regulating daily cortisol and melatonin rhythms.
